Build a Smart City Competition 2025

Two student teams participated in the "Build a Smart City Competition 2025," organized by the Faculty of Construction and Environment of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The team comprising Lee Tsz Hin (6B), Kwan Tin Yeung, (6B), Yeung Sin Chun (6B) and Woo Yue Lam Caleb (6C) presented their project, “Recycling for a Sustainable North,” and was awarded a Merit Award. The other team, comprising Kou Tsz Hin (5C), Ng Daniel Ka Yau (6A) and Poon Ho Kwok (6B), received the Second Runner-up award for their project on “A Smart Approach to Urban Renewal in To Kwa Wan: Old Communities in Transformation.” The competition provided valuable learning experiences through workshops, laboratory visits, and expert discussions, enhancing students’ understanding of Smart City development and urban innovation.
