Cultural Study Tour to South Korea
2025-04-22
30 S4 and S5 students participated in a 5-day-4-night study tour to South Korea, co-organized by the Geography Panel, Information and Communications Technology Panel, Tourism and Hospitality Studies Panel and Global Learning Committee, during the Easter holidays. Our students gained a fascinating blend of technological, geological and cultural insights.
Visiting the Samsung Innovation Museum provided not only a glimpse into South Korea's technological prowess, but also a valuable opportunity to witness its rapid advancement in electronics and its impacts on global innovation.
Taking the XR bus tour at the Suwon Hwaseong Fortress is an eye-opening experience since the cutting-edge technology of the fortress allowed our students to immerse and further explore the ingenious architectural and geographical considerations behind its construction, as well as the interplay between human ingenuity and the natural landscape.
Through the study tour, our students appreciated how the community initiatives and the artistic expression transform urban spaces in the cultural villages with vibrant colours and unique hillside layouts. In addition, the Busan National Geopark also deepened our students’ understanding of how geological processes shaped the unique coastal landscapes. The trip was an enriching experience for students to broaden their horizons, appreciate natural wonders and respect diversified cultures.
