Kyushu Study Tour: Research on modern Chinese History in Japan

43 S3 to S5 students participated in a study tour to Kyushu, Japan. They explored various historical sites, deepening their understanding of topics related to modern and contemporary Chinese history, such as the Sun Yat-sen' s Revolution and the first and Second Sino-Japanese Wars.
The participants were required to collaborate with group members to reach remote historical sites by themselves and accomplish relevant learning tasks. They also developed skills in communication and problem-solving besides cultivating values such as respect for others, perseverance and a sense of responsibility.
It was a revealing experience to visit the Nagasaki Prefectural Government Office and meet the officials. Our students were interviewed by the Nagasaki International Television and the interview was aired on its TV news channel.
