STEM Workshop on Constructing a Shock-proof Building

To strengthen the problem-solving skills and cultivate creativity of our students, a STEM workshop was held for all our S2 students. The workshop was organized jointly by STEM Education Committee, Integrated Science Panel and Geography Panel. Our S2 students took this opportunity to learn the basics about earthquakes and waves. After a brief research on shock-proof technologies adopted all over the world, our students, in groups of 4, incorporated some of them into their own designs and tested out their shock resistance on a shake table.
