Preliminary Round of History Role-play Competitions 21, 22 & 28 April 2009
The preliminary rounds of the History Role-play Competition were held for S2, S3 & S4 students during lunch hours with respective themes on Napoleon Bonaparte, Jiang Qing and Catherine the Great. The better teams were selected to enter the final to be held during the post-examination period.
Inter-House Debate 21 April 2009
An Inter-house Debate was conducted in this assembly and the motion was "The Government ought to set up a statutory minimum wage." After heated debates between the two parties, the Joint Yellow & Green House Team beat the Joint Red & Blue Team marginally by one mark.
Hong Kong Secondary School Model United Nations Conference 2009 11 - 13 April 2009
Four S6 students participated in the Hong Kong Secondary School Model United Nations Conference 2009 and served as the delegates in the Economic & Social Council and the World Health Organization.
2nd Closing Ceremony of CCSC SAGE Elderly Academy 8 April 2009
A closing ceremony of the second round of the CCSC SAGE Elderly Academy for the current academic year was held for those elders who had completed their computer courses during the past two months. A task well-done was demonstrated by our student tutors and volunteers.

Our Girls School Basketball Team won the Championship in the Division Two Girls C Grade of the Inter-School Basketball Competition 2008/2009 (Hong Kong Island).
40th Anniversary Nite 28 March 2009
The Anniversary Nite marked the climax of the celebration of the 40th Anniversary of our School with Ms Florence Hui, J.P. as the Guest of Honour. The event was a huge success with the joint efforts of our current and old students under the guidance of our teachers.
English Carnival 2009 21 March 2009
Wong Chi Ki of S3D won the Grand Prize in the Hong Kong Flower Show 2009 - Nanyang Commercial Bank Student Drawing Competition. In fact, our students won the Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up and Commendation Award in the Junior Secondary Section of the Competition.
English Carnival 2009 20 March 2009
Our School kicks off its Anniversary functions with its 40th Anniversary Dinner organized by the Old Students' Association. The function was a tremendous success with 65 tables, the largest gathering ever. The celebration last till mid-night with a lot of alumni shooting photos at the end.
English Carnival 2009 12 - 13 March 2009
Our English Society organized an English Carnival to promote students' interest in using English in their daily life through the English Ambassadors. Board display and games were organized around a theme on English TV dramas this year.
PTA Day Camp 8 March 2009
Our Parent-Teacher Association organized a day camp at Sai Kung Outdoor Recreation Camp. A total of 80 S1 to S3 parents and students together with our Principal and teachers participated and enjoyed the programmes run by the social workers of the Methodist Epworth Village Community Centre.
Social Service Trip to Yan Bei 4 March 2009
In the assembly, Mr. Tong introduced a social service trip to Yan Bei in China to be organized for our senior students during the coming summer vacation and shared his experience when he visited there earlier. The Liberal Studies Team also organized a talk on human rights.
Champion in LiveWIRE Hong Kong Programme - New Year Bazaar 28 February 2009
Our S4D & S4E Commerce students won the First Prize in the LiveWIRE Hong Kong Programme - New Year Bazaar after their success in running their 2009 Lunar New Year Fair Stalls. Our congratulations to them!
Eastern District Chinese Calligraphy Competition 2009 28 February 2009
Our students participated in the Eastern District Chinese Calligraphy Competition. Poon Sze Lok of S2 won the 2nd Prize in the Junior Section and four other students gained Merit Awards in both Junior and Senior Sections of the Competition. Our congratulations to them!
Chinese Week 23 - 27 February 2009
A Chinese Week was organized by Chinese Association in the school hall with board display and games. The theme this year was about some taboos and superstitions in the Chinese culture and tradition.
Parents' Day-cum-Mini-Open Day 15 February 2009
The Parents' Day-cum-Mini-Open Day was held in our school providing opportunities for the parents to communicate with our teachers and the Principal to discuss about the performance of their children. Our Student Ambassadors also introduced our school's facilities to the visiting primary pupils as well as our alumni.
Lunar New Year Lantern Carnival 9 February 2009
Chinese Association organized the Lunar New Year Lantern Carnival for our students with prizes for collection provided that they could make a correct guess on the riddles attached to the lanterns.
Musical Performance by S.H.O.W. 23 January 2009
An assembly was held before the Lunar New Year holiday with a musical performance by S.H.O.W. delivering a message to our students to treasure their school life and not to waste their opportunities and time, maintaining a harmonious school environment.
Lunar New Year Fair Stall in Victoria Park 20 - 26 January 2009
Our S4 Commerce students applied their knowledge and learning at school and run their Lunar New Year Fair Stalls (Booth Nos. 212 & 213) in Victoria Park as young entrepreneurs. The main product specially designed for the occasion was the Cow Faeces hoping for a market boom in the Year of Ox.
Staff Development Day 2009 7 January 2009
A Staff Development Day on independent enquiry studies of Liberal Studies was organized in collaboration with The University of Hong Kong for our teachers to equip them with the skills on how to facilitate their students in doing their projects.
Our School Band in Action 27 December 2008
Our School Band won the Gold Prize in 2008 Hong Kong Youth Music Interflows - Symphonic Band Contest organized by Music Office of Leisure & Cultural Services Department. Congratulations to them!
Christmas Programme 22 December 2008
A Christmas programme was held in the Hall with variety shows on choir singing, performance by handbells group, Chinese orchestra and string orchestra. Our S7 students thanked the teachers for their upbringing over the years. The programme ended in a festive mood with lucky draws.
Talk on S1 Discretionary Places Application 13 December 2008
About eight hundred Primary 6 pupils and parents from various districts visit our School and attended the talk on "Strategic Consideration on S1 Discretionary Places Application & Central Allocation" delivered by the Principal in the Hall.
Closing Ceremony of CCSC SAGE Elderly Academy 13 December 2008
A closing ceremony of the CCSC SAGE Elderly Academy was held for those elders who had completed their computer courses during the past two months. A sharing session was conducted with positive views from both the elders and the students.
Sharing Session of Delegation of Shenzhou-7 Manned Space Mission 8 December 2008
Nine students of our School participated in the sharing session of the Delegation of Shenzhou-7 Manned Space Mission and had close encounter with the three astronauts.
Annual Speech Day 2008 3 December 2008
Mr. Stephen Fisher, J.P., Director of Social Welfare, who was the Guest of Honour of our Annual Speech Day, presented the certificates and prizes to our students. He reminded our students to treasure their opportunities of learning and be committed to building a caring society.
Walkathon for Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital 29 November 2008
About 200 staff, students and parents participated in the 2008 Walkathon for Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital. Our School won the Highest Participation Organization Award and the Highest Fund Raising Organization Award.
Lifewide Learning Day 27 November 2008
Educational visits were organized on this Lifewide Learning Day for the whole school with students of different levels visiting different places for wider exposure. On the whole, the event was successful. Our students enjoyed their visits and found them resourceful giving them insights from other perspectives.
Sharing of The Honourable Mr. Alan Leong 24 November 2008
In this assembly, the Honourable Alan Leong Kah Kit, SC, a member of  the Legislative Council of Hong Kong representing the Kowloon East geographical constituency, was invited to share with our students his experience in the Legislative Council and its election in 2008.
Meeting with S1 Parents 22 November 2008
Besides the Principal's sharing, a meeting between the S1 Form-teachers and the parents was organized. A briefing on the duties of the parent volunteers was also run by the Parent-Teacher Association followed by a consultation session with the Principal.
Music for the Millions 17 November 2008
A "Music for the Millions" concert was organized through the Music Office for our students with an introduction to various musical instruments. Our students enjoyed the show and found that the event was an entertaining one.
Teachers' Singing Concert 14 November 2008
The Teachers' Singing Concert was a joint venture of our Students' Association and Music Association, attracting a lot of students staying after school in the School Hall to support the function. The musical talents of our teachers were reflected in their wonderful performance.
Visit by P6 Students 13 November 2008
A group of Primary 6 pupils paid a visit to our School to learn more about the school life as a secondary student. Our Student Ambassadors led them to have a tour around the school campus.
Humanity in Force 7 November 2008
The Assembly began with our School Band performing their entry pieces before they compete in the Symphonic Band Contest and followed by the Principal's talk on Students' Association. Four representatives of Humanity in Force of HKU gave a presentation on the impact of globalization on poverty.
Annual Athletics Meet 31 October 2008
Our Annual Athletics Meet was held in Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground. The Champion was Yellow House. The First and Second Runners-up were Green House and Blue House respectively. Mr. Ng Kwok Poon M.H., our IMC Manager was invited to address the gathering and present the trophies.
Annual General Meeting of Parent-Teacher Association 26 October 2008
The 10th Annual General Meeting of the Parent-Teacher Association was held in the school hall with eight candidates vying for the election of parent executive committee positions. Mrs. S.W. Chan was elected the Chairperson of the Association for 2008-2009 and the IMC Manager through by-election.
Opening Ceremony of CCSC SAGE Elderly Academy 18 October 2008
As a socially responsible educational institute, our School collaborated with the Hong Kong Society for the Aged to establish the CCSC SAGE Elderly Academy. An opening ceremony was held in the School Hall and our student tutors met the potential elder learners. An information talk on NSS subjects was given to the S3 students and parents in the afternoon.
Election of Students' Association 17 October 2008
The Principal introduced the CCSC Alumni Foundation Fund and the CCSC SAGE Elderly Academy. The single cabinet Advance run its campaign for the election of the Students' Association for the academic year 2008-2009.
Fun Fair 9 - 10 October 2008
A fun fair was jointly run by all the clubs and societies to inform the students their programme plans and activities to be held in the academic year 2008 - 2009.
Swimming Gala 29 September 2008
The Swimming Gala was held in Chai Wan Swimming Pool. The Champion was Yellow House again. The First and Second Runners-up were Blue House and Red House respectively. Mrs. Joyce Lui, CSDO of the Education Bureau, was the Guest of Honour of the event.
Introducing new extracurricular activities 23 September 2008
The format of the assembly was modified with more involvements of students to lead in singing the School Song and serve as Masters of Ceremony. The Principal welcomed all members of the CCSC family. New extracurricular activities and social services were introduced and students were encouraged to join them.
CCSC Campus 1 September 2008
The School opened and all students were back to school.
1st Runner-up in The 2nd Hong Kong Cup Foreign Affairs Knowledge Contest 28 June 2008
Our students, led by Miss J. Chan, won the 1st Runner-up of the 2nd Hong Kong Cup Foreign Affairs Knowledge Contest and were invited to a trip to Beijing and the Olympic Games 2008 during the summer vacation. Congratulations to all of them!
Inter-House Debate 21 June 2008
Three of our S6A students won three awards out of a total of ten in "Ms Yam Kim Fai through the Eyes of a Secondary School Student" Essay Writing Competition. Congratulations to them and their teacher Mr. L. Lee!
Eastern District Schools Music, Dance & Speech Winners' Performance 31 May 2008
Li Chiu Lok of S4B performed her winning piece of public speaking on the Olympic Games through the eyes of Chinese people in Eastern District Schools Music, Dance & Speech Winners' Performance and four of our students served as the Masters of Ceremony.
School Visit by the Principals from Korea 19 May 2008
Sixty Principals of Korea, organized through the Education Bureau, paid a visit to our School and the Principal gave a talk about our work done for our students. They then got a better understanding of the Hong Kong Education System and showed an appreciation of our achievements.
Fashion Design Competition 16 May 2008
The Art Club organized the Fashion Design Competition attracting a number of our students from all levels to participate. Their designs, being beautiful and creative, were shown to our students and teachers in a catwalk in the school hall.
Talk on Powerlifting 2 April 2008
The Principal explained the rationale on setting up the school rules to the students.  Dr. W.Y. Ip, Chairperson of  Hong Kong Weightlighting & Powerlifting Association, shared with us her ICAN story how she became the Champions in a number of powerlifting competitions under the women's category in Hong Kong and Asia.
Parent Education Workshop on Values Formation 29 March 2008
Our Parent-Teacher Association organized a series of workshops for our parents. The first and kick-off one was on values formation by Mr. H.T. Chu, an educational psychologist. The workshop was well accepted and rated highly by our parents.
Eastern District Fire Safety Carnival 2007 2 March 2008
Our Students' Association supported the Eastern District Fire Safety Carnival to alert the residents in the Eastern District to pay attention to fire safety and prevention. A game stall was designed and run, attracting a lot of people to play their games and achieving the aim of the Carnival.
Eastern District Schools Public Speaking Competition 1 March 2008
Our students performed extremely well in the Eastern District Schools Public Speaking Competition and won two Champions, two 1st Runners-up, two 2nd Runners-up and four Merit Awards in three different secondary sections of the Competition. Congratulations to them and their teachers!
Science Week 26 - 29 February 2008
A Science Week was jointly organized by Science Club, Astronomy Club, IT Club and Mathematics Club in the covered playground with themes on science about clothings and coloration, Hubble Space Telescope, Octopus cards and the problematic periods in Mathematics. The highlight of the function was the talk about astronomical telescope by Mr. Tong.
Alumni Manager Election 16 December 2007
Our Old Students' Association held an election of the Alumni Manager for the Incorporated Management Committee from 15 to 16 December 2007. Among the three candidates nominated, Mr. T.F. Hui was elected Alumni Manager.
