Lunar New Year Fair 17 - 22 January 2012
Our S5 BAFS students ran the Lunar New Year Fair Stall 153 at Victoria Park as their practical project. Their specially designed and proprietary product "Lucky Dragon Neck Pillow" immediately became an attractive and hot item.
Running for Little Chief Executive 15 January 2012
Chan Maan Yiu of S2D emerged as one of the 32 Little Chief Executives in the 6th Election of Hong Kong Little Chief Executives after going through a number of tough election campaigns.
Christmas Programme 22 December 2011
A Christmas programme was held in the Hall with variety shows on choir singing, performance by advertisement winners, string orchestra and handbells group. Our S7 students thanked the teachers for their upbringing over the years. The programme ended in a festive mood with lucky draws.
Talk on S1 Discretionary Places Application 10 December 2011
More than seven hundred Primary 6 pupils and parents from various districts visit our School and attended the talk on "Strategic Consideration on S1 Discretionary Places Application & Central Allocation" delivered by the Principal in the Hall.
Parent Talk on S4 Subject Choices 3 December 2011
A talk on S4 subject choices was given to the current S3 students and their parents so that they could plan for the future ahead based on their interests and career aspiration.
Hong Kong Island Outstanding Students Award 3 December 2011
Lor Cheuk Yin of S5B and Chan Sze Yan of S4A were respectively granted the Hong Kong Island Outstanding Students Award and the Hong Kong Island Commendable Students Award for their meritorious all-round achievements.
A Grade Girls Basketball Champion Team 3 December 2011
Our A Grade Girls Basketball Team won the Champion in the Inter-School Basketball Championships (Hong Kong Island Division II). Congratulations to all our competitors, teachers and staff concerned!
Music Fiesta 29 November - 2 December 2011
Music Fiesta 2011 was organized by Music Association with programmes for inter-class music competition, Chinese Orchestra, String Quartet, Recorder and Vocal Ensembles during the lunch hour and received good support and appreciation from the students.
Blood Donation Day 28 November 2011
63 students and teachers showed their benevolence in the Blood Donation Day organized by Hong Kong Red Cross.
Eastern District Secondary School Parade 26 November 2011
Our School set up a booth in the Eastern District Secondary Schools Parade to disseminate our school's information and the procedures for the application of S1 Discretionary Places for 2012/13 school year.
Walkathon for Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital 26 November 2011
About 170 staff, students and parents participated in the 2011 Walkathon for Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital and 16 students volunteered to serve in the Bazaar.
Our School Band in Action 25 November 2011
Our School Band participated in 2011 Hong Kong Youth Music Interflows - Symphonic Band Contest organized by Music Office of Leisure & Cultural Services Department and was granted a merit award.
Annual Speech Day 17 November 2011
Our Honorary Supervisor, Mrs. Irene Y.L. Cheung, MBE, JP, received a warm welcome by the whole school in the prize-giving ceremony as the Guest of Honour of our Annual Speech Day. She reminded our students the virtues of competence, conscience, studiousness and creativity reflected in our School Motto.
School Visit 16 November 2011
The Principal and the teachers of Hu Nan Chang Sha Tong Sheng Hu Experimental School visited our School and were impressed by the achievements of our students in spite of the limited resources and space of the campus.
Lifewide Learning Day 10 November 2011
Educational visits were organized on this Lifewide Learning Day for the whole school with students of different levels visiting different places for wider exposure. On the whole, the event was successful. Our students enjoyed their visits and found them resourceful giving them insights from other perspectives.
Prize-giving Ceremony of Annual Sports Day 8 November 2011
A prize-giving ceremony was conducted for the Annual Sports Day with Yellow House being the Champion, Blue House and Green House being the 1st and the 2nd Runners-up respectively. Dr. Chan Wan was invited to give a talk about the 1911 Revolution in China and the current trend of democracy movements.
Annual General Meeting of Parent-Teacher Association 22 October 2011
The 13th AGM of the PTA was held in the school hall with 9 candidates vying for the election of parent executive committee posts and 4 for the Parent Manager. Mr. H.W. Chan was elected the Chairman of the Association for 2011-2012 and Mr. Y.S. Yeung was re-elected the Parent Manager of the IMC.
Swimming Gala 19 October 2011
The Swimming Gala was postponed to be held on 19 October 2011 in Chai Wan Swimming Pool due to the approach of Nalgae. The Champion was Yellow House again. The First and Second Runners-up were Blue House and Red House respectively. Mr. W.L. Lee, the SSDO(HKE) of the Education Bureau, was the Guest of Honour of the event.
Annual Athletics Meet 10 & 11 October 2011
Despite the cancellation of the Prize Presentation Ceremony due to bad weather, the Final of our Annual Athletics Meet, held at Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground, was still a success ending in a joyous atmosphere with the performances of the Cheerleaders of the four Houses.
Eastern District Chinese Calligraphy Competition 8 October 2011
Our students participated in the Eastern District Chinese Calligraphy Competition and won the 1st Prize, 3rd Prize and one Merit Award in the Junior Section as well as the 2nd Prize and two Merit Awards in the Senior Section. Our congratulations to them!
Eastern District Young Community Leaders Training Programme 30 September 2011
Eight students of our School collaborated with the students from 6 other schools in the Eastern District Young Community Leaders Training Programme and completed a series of activities on environmental protection.
Election of Students' Association 27 September 2011
The Principal talk about the major concern on showing greater care and concern for others in the assembly, followed by a campaign on the election of the Students' Association. The cabinet 翊 won the election at the end.
Fun Fair 22 - 23 September 2011
A fun fair was jointly run by all the clubs and societies to inform the students their programme plans and exciting activities to be held in the academic year 2011 - 2012.
Carnival for the Promotion of Brain Health 17 September 2011
Our Community Service Team participated in the Carnival for the Promotion of Brain Health organized by The Hong Kong Society for the Aged and ran the game stalls for the elders to help them do more brain exercise.
Leadership Training 3 September 2011
A Leadership Training Programme was conducted in the hall for our students who hold the important posts in the committees of the Houses and societies so as to nurture their leadership qualities.
House Meeting 1 September 2011
The School opened and the Principal welcomed all students back to school in the Assembly. Then the Head Prefects introduced their Prefect Teams and the important school rules. After that the four Houses held a Joint House Meeting in the Hall.
YU222 Enrollment 13 August 2011
Our Red Cross Youth Unit 222 celebrated its 12th Enrollment Ceremony and 25 students completed their enrollment programmes to become its members.
S1 Orientation 10 July 2011
The coming S1 students and their parents attended the S1 Parent-Child Orientation Programme which introduced the school rules and policies, facilities, curriculum and extra-curricular activities.
Graduation Day 8 July 2011
A Graduation Day was specially held to congratulate the graduation of our S7 and S6 EAS students and it's the time to say farewell to them. It also celebrated the milestone reached by our S3 students for the completion of their junior secondary education.
S1 Registration 7 July 2011
The successful applicants in the 2011/12 S1 secondary school place allocation came to our School to confirm their registration and gather the necessary documents and information sheets for the coming events during the summer vacation.
History Role-play Competition 6 July 2011
The S2, S3 and S4 students gave their best performance in the History Role-play Competition with respective themes on Zhu Yuanzhang, Otto von Bismarck and Yoshiko Kawashima. The winning class, S4D, received the prize from Mr. Raymond Cheung, the Independent Manager of our School.
Demonstration Performance of our Chinese Debate Teams 6 July 2011
The 5th and 6th Chinese Debating School Teams gave a demonstration performance on the issues concerning the rights on the utilization of obstetric services in Hong Kong public hospitals by the pregnant women from the Mainland.
University Admission Talks for S5 Students 5 July 2011
The speakers from the student admission offices of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong University of Science & Technology gave a career talk to our S5 students about their university programmes specially designed under the new 334 curriculum.

Li Yin Hang of S3B, Champion of Senior Secondary Section Cantonese Opera Solo Competition in the 63rd Hong Kong Schools Music Festival, performed his winning piece in Eastern District Schools Music, Dance & Speech Winners' Performance.

Our School Basketball Teams won the Boys Overall Champion, C Grade Boys Champion, B Grade and C Grade Girls 1st Runners-up in the 2010/2011 Inter-School Basketball Championships (Hong Kong Island Division III). Congratulations to all our competitors, teachers and staff!
Career Talk by Mr. Vincent Choi 11 March 2011
In the assembly, the Principal talked about the major theme of the year - Respect for Others - to promote good inter-personal relationship and to be socially competent. Then Mr. Vincent Choi, our alumnus, shared his different career paths and emphasized good communication skills and well preparation were essential elements to secure a job of his dream.
Eastern District Fire Safety Carnival 27 February 2011
Our Students' Association supported the Eastern District Fire Safety Carnival to alert the residents in the Eastern District to pay attention to fire safety and prevention. A game stall was designed and run, attracting a lot of people to play their games and achieving the aim of the Carnival.
Thermal Imaging Camera 15 February 2011
A thermal imaging camera has been installed to detect the body temperature of all students and staff when they are entering the school campus as an additional precaution to fight against the prevailing flu. If the body temperature is above 37 degree Celsius, the detector will give a buzzing sound and the face of the person concerned will be shown green on the TV screen.
Parents' Day-cum-Mini-Open Day 13 February 2011
The Parents' Day-cum-Mini-Open Day was held in our School providing opportunities for the parents to communicate with our teachers and the Principal to discuss about the performance of their children. Our Student Ambassadors also introduced our school's facilities to the visiting primary pupils as well as our parents shared their experience with the visitors.
OSA Lunar New Year Gathering 12 February 2011
The Old Students' Association held the Lunar New Year Gathering in the School Hall and attracted more than a hundred of alumni, former and current teachers. Our Supervisor and IMC Managers also supported the event.

Two groups of S1 students participated in the Hong Kong Schools Dance Festival and performed beautifully. Both groups won the First Class Awards. Congratulations to all of them!

Our S5 students attended the Forum on Talk of the Town about post-service work of Mr. Leung Chin Man and one of our students expressed his opinions during the discussion.

Ten students from S4 to S7 were awarded the Bank of Communications Meritorious Secondary Students Award for their brilliant academic achievements and all-round development. Congratulations to them!
Annual Speech Day 10 December 2010
The Hon. Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, GBS, JP, Secretary for Labour & Welfare, the Guest of Honour of our Annual Speech Day, presented the certificates and prizes to our students. He encouraged our students to prepare for the future by re-inventing the meaning of CCSC as being Compassion, Courage to embrace change, Synergy and "Can do" spirit.
Meeting with S1 Parents 4 December 2010
Besides the Principal's sharing on 334, a meeting between the S1 Form-teachers and the parents was organized. A briefing on the duties of the parent volunteers was also run by the Parent-Teacher Association followed by a consultation session with the Principal.
Environmental Protection Talk 2 December 2010
In this assembly, the Principal talked about self-respect . A presentation on Environmental Protection vs Consumers was given by Dr. W.H. Chan. Then some students shared their experience on the Kyushu Study Trip, followed by a launch of the Campus TV.
Annual General Meeting of Old Students' Association 20 November 2010
Our Old Students' Association held its Annual General Meeting at school to report the activities held during the last session. A new cabinet known as "誠閣" was formed comprising representatives of alumni coming from four different decades.

A Liberal Studies talk on Independent Enquiry Studies was given to the current S5 parents so that they had better understanding of the related school-based assessment and the pilot scheme of the plagiarism detection tool.
Visit to the Exhibition of River of Wisdom 16 November 2010
120 S6 & S7 students and teachers visited the Exhibition of the River of Wisdom, an animated version of the Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival, at Asia World-Expo. The animated scenes were very impressive and full of creativity.
Visit by P6 Students 16 November 2010
A group of Primary 6 pupils paid a visit to our School to learn more about the school life of a secondary student. In addition to our Student Ambassadors led them to have a tour around the school campus, the Principal presented the recent development of our School.
Anti-drug Show 11 November 2010
In this assembly, a musical was performed by S.H.O.W. delivering the message of "Stand FIRM! Knock Drugs Out!" to raise the awareness of the students on drug prevention and the hazards of drug addiction.
School Visit by Scotland Cabinet Secretary for Education & Lifelong Learning 18 October 2010
Mr. Michael W. Russell, Scotland Cabinet Secretary for Education & Lifelong Learning, and his colleagues led by Dr. K.W. Cheung of the Education Bureau visited our School. The Principal and the Panel Heads of Science & Mathematics Departments shared our experience on curriculum reform. The visitors were impressed by the overall achievements of our School and the performance of our students.

A Police Talk on "Self-protection" was organized in the assembly. Two cabinets, Striders and Elpis run their campaigns for the election of the Students' Association for the academic year 2010-2011. Elpis won in the election.

Our Senior Girls' Choir, Champion of Singing in English in the 62nd Hong Kong Schools Music Festival, performed the winning pieces in Eastern District Schools Music, Dance & Speech Winners' Performance and four of our students served as the Masters of Ceremony.

Reunion of Class 1980 1 May 2010
The S5 Class of 1980 held a reunion gathering at school to celebrate their 30th Anniversary of graduation attracting about 30 old students and their families. The Principal showed them the changes of the Alma Mater over the years and the alumni shared with their teachers of the memorable events in their school life.
Inter-House Debate 29 April 2010
In this assembly, the Principal talked about collaboration and then an Inter-house Debate was conducted. The motion was "The first element required for the Head of a Nation should be free from corruption." After heated debates between the two parties, the Joint Blue & Green House Team beat the Joint Red & Yellow Team.
Preliminary Round of History Role-play Competitions 27, 28 April & 4 May 2010
The preliminary rounds of the History Role-play Competition were held for S2, S3 & S4 students during lunch hours with respective themes on Cao Cao, Emperor Meiji and Queen Marie Antoinette. The better teams were selected to enter the final to be held during the post-examination period.
Alumni Manager Election 11 April 2010
Our Old Students' Association held an election of the Alumni Manager for the Incorporated Management Committee from 14 March to 11 April 2010. Two candidates ran for the election and Mr. Raymond Y.C. Chung was elected Alumni Manager.
Liberal Studies Reading Sharing Session 24 March 2010
In the assembly, the Principal talked about active listening and Mr. H.B. Ng, Mr. L. Lee, Mr. C.Y. Tsui and our students shared their views on the Earth Hour and environmental protection based on the book "Climate Wars" as an activity of Liberal Studies Book Sharing Group.
English Carnival 22 - 26 March 2010
Our English Society organized an English Carnival to promote students' interest in using English in their daily life through the English Ambassadors. Board display and games were organized around a theme on Symbolism this year.
PTA Day Camp 21 March 2010
Our Parent-Teacher Association organized a day camp at Tso Kung Tam Outdoor Recreation Centre. A total of 64 S1 to S3 parents and students together with our Principal and teachers participated and enjoyed the programmes run by the social workers of the Methodist Epworth Village Community Centre.
Senior Girls' Choir 5 & 9 March 2010
Our Senior Girls' Choir won the Champion in Singing in English in the Intermediate - Age 16 or under of the Girls' Choir Section whilst our Junior Treble Mixed Choir came 3rd in Singing in English Section in the 62nd Hong Kong Schools Music Festival. Our congratulations to them and their teachers concerned!
Eastern District School Public Speaking Competition 6 February 2010
Our students participated in the Eastern District Schools Public Speaking Competition and won two Champions, two First Runners-up, one Second Runner-up and two Merit Awards. Liang Kai Ho of S6A won the Overall Champion in the Senior Secondary Section.
Internet Safety Talk 4 February 2010
In the assembly, the Principal expressed his view on the recent saga of LegCo and encouraged the "win-win" attitude so as to promote a harmonious community. Newly appointed prefects were introduced. Two talks - GAPSK Test on Putonghua and "Be Net-wise" on Internet saftey were held.
Mock Lunar New Year Fair 1 - 3 February 2010
Our S4 BAFS students applied their knowledge and learning at school and run their Mock Lunar New Year Fair Stalls in the school hall as young entrepreneurs. The event was well supported by the Supervisor and the IMC Managers. Also the Parent-Teacher Association ran a booth to raise funds for the welfare of the students.
Red Cross Youth Awards Presentation Ceremony 31 January 2010
Our Red Cross Youth Unit 222 won the Overall Champion of Training Shield Competition and was commended as one of the Outstanding Youth Units on the Hong Kong Island. Chu Kwun Lun of S7A was awarded the Red Cross Youth of the Year 2009 and 8 other students won the Youth Attainment Badges.
Youth Visual Arts Exhibition 29 - 31 January 2010
The specially designed cityscape models and paintings of our students were displayed in the 2010 Youth Visual Arts Exhibition held at the Hong Kong Central Library demonstrating their creativity in artwork.
Staff Development Day 13 January 2010
A Staff Development Day on Stress Management & Relaxation was organized in collaboration with Physical Fitness Association of Hong Kong, China for our teachers to equip them with the skills on how to keep fit both physically and mentally.
Closing Ceremony of CCSC SAGE Elder Academy 12 December 2009
A closing ceremony of the CCSC SAGE Elder Academy was held for those elders who had completed their computer courses during the past two months. A sharing session was conducted with positive views from both the elders and the students.
Singing at the Eastern District East Asian Games Carnival 21 November 2009
16 junior level students of our School sang the theme song "You are the Legend" of the Hong Kong - 2009 East Asian Games at the Eastern District Fun Day  for the promotion of the East Asian Games and were well received with big applause from the audience.

A Music Carnival was organized in the Hall by Music Association with programmes including singing contest, song dedication, concert and music performances.
Fashion Design Competition 4 November 2009
The Art Club organized the Fashion Design Competition - The Encounter attracting a number of our students from all levels to participate. Their designs, being beautiful and creative, were shown to our students and teachers in a catwalk in the school hall.
Hong Kong - Macao PTA Sharing Day 2 November 2009
Hong Kong - Macao PTA Sharing Day 2009 was hosted by our School to enable our Principal and PTA executive committee members to share their experience in the running of the Parent-Teacher Association.
