Our Senior Girls' Choir won
the Champion in Singing in English in the Intermediate - Age 16 or
under of the Girls' Choir Section whilst our Junior Treble Mixed Choir
came 3rd in Singing in English Section in the 62nd Hong Kong Schools
Music
Festival. Our congratulations to them and their teachers concerned! |

The Parents'
Day-cum-Mini-Open Day was held in our school providing opportunities
for the parents to communicate with our teachers and the Principal to
discuss about the performance of their children. Our
Student Ambassadors also introduced our school's facilities to the
visiting primary pupils as well as our alumni. |

Our students participated
in the Eastern District
Schools Public Speaking Competition and won two Champions, two First
Runners-up, one Second Runner-up and two Merit Awards. Liang Kai Ho of
S6A won the Overall Champion in the Senior Secondary Section. |

In the assembly, the
Principal expressed his view on the recent saga of LegCo and encouraged
the
"win-win" attitude
so as to promote a harmonious community. Newly appointed prefects were
introduced. Two talks - GAPSK Test on Putonghua and "Be Net-wise" on
Internet saftey were held. |

Our S4 BAFS students
applied their knowledge and learning at school and run their Mock Lunar
New
Year Fair Stalls in the school hall as
young
entrepreneurs. The event was well supported by the Supervisor and the
IMC
Managers. Also the Parent-Teacher Association ran a booth to raise
funds for the welfare of the students. |

Our Red Cross Youth Unit
222 won the Overall Champion of Training Shield Competition and was
commended as one of the Outstanding Youth Units on the Hong Kong
Island.
Chu Kwun Lun of S7A was awarded the Red Cross Youth of the Year 2009
and 8 other students won the Youth Attainment Badges. |

Our Students' Association
supported the Eastern District Fire Safety Carnival to alert the
residents in the Eastern District to pay attention to fire safety and
prevention. A game stall was designed and run, attracting a lot of
people to play their games and achieving the aim of the
Carnival. |

2010 Youth Visual Arts Exhibition held at the Hong Kong Central Library
demonstrating their creativity in artwork. |

organized in collaboration with Physical Fitness Association of Hong

teachers to equip them with the skills on how to keep fit both

A Christmas programme was
held in the Hall with variety shows on choir singing, performance by
handbells group, Chinese orchestra and string orchestra. Our S7
students thanked the teachers for their upbringing over the years. The
programme ended in a festive mood with lucky draws. |

their computer courses during the past two months. A sharing session
was conducted with positive views from both the elders and the students. |

participated in the 2009 Walkathon for Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern
Hospital. Our String Orchestra also performed in Lei Yu Mun Park
& Holiday Village to entertain the participants at the end of
the Walkathon. |

our School sang the theme song "You are the Legend" of the Hong Kong -
2009 East Asian Games at the Eastern District Fun Day for the
promotion of the East Asian Games and were well received with big
applause from the audience. |

organized. A briefing on the duties of the parent volunteers was also
run by the Parent-Teacher Association followed by a consultation

including singing contest, song dedication, concert

Principal emphasized the importance of Goal
Setting
as the second element of self-leadership. An anti-drug talk was also
organized to raise the awareness of the students on drug prevention and
hazards of drug addiction. |

organized on this Lifewide Learning Day for the whole school with
students of different levels visiting different places for wider
exposure. On the whole, the event was successful. Our students enjoyed
their visits and found them resourceful giving them insights from other
perspectives. |

Fashion Design Competition - The Encounter attracting a number of our
students from all
levels to participate. Their designs, being beautiful and creative,
were shown to our students and teachers in a catwalk in the school hall. |

Sharing Day 2009 was hosted by our School to enable our Principal
and PTA executive committee members to share their experience
in the running of the Parent-Teacher Association. |

Association organized a talk on Liberal Studies & its
Assessments by Mr. K.Y. Lo and Mr. H.B. Ng for our parents.
The talk was a huge success attracting about 300 parents to attend with
a lot of questions on its study methods and preparation for examination. |

Meeting of the Parent-Teacher Association was held in the school hall
with twelve candidates vying for the election of parent
executive
committee positions and two for the Parent Manager. Mr. Eddie Kwan was
elected the Chairman of the
Association for 2009-2010 as well as the Parent Manager of the IMC. |

of S3
won the 1st Prize in the Junior Section, Wu Yi of S4 won the 3rd Prize
in the Senior Section and two other students gained

educational institute, our School collaborated with the Hong Kong
Society for the Aged to establish the CCSC SAGE Elder Academy. An
opening ceremony was held in the School Hall and our student tutors met
the potential elder learners. |

was held in Aberdeen Sports Ground. The Champion was Yellow House.
The
First and Second Runners-up were Green House and Blue House
respectively. Mr. Chan Hung Kee, J.P., our IMC Manager was invited to

students. It is a heritage established to support women living and
working away from home, and contributing to the Hong Kong community

students during lunch hours with respective
themes on Napoleon Bonaparte, Jiang Qing and
Catherine the Great. The better teams were selected to enter the final

conducted in this assembly and the motion was "The Government ought to
set up a statutory minimum wage." After heated debates between the two
parties, the Joint Yellow & Green House Team beat the Joint Red
& Blue Team marginally by one mark. |

Our School kicks off its
Anniversary functions with its 40th Anniversary Dinner organized by the
Old Students' Association. The function was a tremendous success with
65 tables, the largest gathering ever. The celebration last till
mid-night with a lot of alumni shooting photos at the end. |

organized an English Carnival to promote students' interest in using
English in their daily life through the English Ambassadors. Board
display and games were organized around a theme

at Sai Kung Outdoor Recreation Camp. A total of 80 S1 to S3 parents and
students together with our Principal and teachers participated

enjoyed the programmes run by the social workers of the Methodist

introduced a social service trip to Yan Bei in China to be organized
for our senior students during the coming summer vacation
and shared his experience when he visited there earlier. The Liberal
