Preparatory Classes for S1
Please refer to the attachment for the list of participants for the preparatory classes for S1 to be held between late July and early August 2017. The participants should refer to the handout provided during the S1 registration for the details of the classes, and they are reminded that it is compulsory for them to attend the assigned lessons.

We are glad to find that the S6 students did well in the HKDSE Exam. Each student on average has gained 2.57 L5s or above while the top student got 4 L5**, 3 L5* and 1 L4. Heartfelt gratitude is extended to our S6 students and teachers for their hard work. Hope our students can be admitted to the tertiary programmes they have chosen!
2017 DSE Results (12 July 2017)
This competition was co-organized by the EDB, CUHK and Ho Koon Nature Education cum Astronomical Centre. About 30 teams of students from different schools participated in the competition. Students were required to design and carry out an investigative ecological field study, hand in a report and present their findings. 15 biology students who formed three teams took part in this competition they had won the championship and two merit prizes.

With the competition theme of “Second Life for Retired Batteries from Electric Vehicles”, the Environment Bureau aimed at encouraging students to identify innovative and practical second-life applications for retired batteries from electric vehicles. Five S4B students Ching San Lok, Leung Pak Ho, Qiao Qingchen, Tsoi Ka Wai and Yeung Tai Kiu competed with 50 teams from 8 countries or cities, namely Australia, Canada, Indonesia, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Guangzhou, Macau and Hong Kong. It is heartening that our students came third in the competition.

Our student, Lau Chun Ho of 4B, competed with 811 local secondary school contestants in the Hong Kong Physics Olympiad 2017. His high caliber enabled him to capture the Third Honour Award. Our congratulations!
The 2016 Harvard Book Prize and Scholarship Award Ceremony was held on 26 May 2017. Our student, Yip Tsz Tung 5D, was awarded the Book Prize in recognition of her academic and personal excellence. Our congratulations to her achievement!
The Handbell Team took part in the Hong Kong International Handbell Olympics 2017 and won the Silver Award (Intermediate Section).
Handbell members have been working hard in their weekly practices and it is heartening to see their painstaking efforts have paid off.

85 students from S1 to S5 participated in the 69th Hong Kong Schools Music Festival.
Among all, Lin Nga Yi of S3A won the championship in Zheng Solo, Shu Mung Kwan of S5B won the first runner-up in Banhu Solo and So Chiu Tat of S1D won the second-runner up in Erhu Solo. Meanwhile, two of our Recorder teams won the third prizes in the Recorder Ensemble entries.
The prize winners were invited to perform their winning music pieces at the School Assembly. Their performances received a big round of applauses from teachers and fellow schoolmates.

The Hong Kong Olympiad in Informatics was held on 12 November 2016 (Heat Event) and 27 December 2016 (Final Event). Our student, Au Yee Fu of 5B, competed with 176 local secondary school contestants. He was awarded the Bronze Medal in the Senior Group Competition. Our congratulations!
The tournament was organized by the Rosaryhill School Sports Association. This year, we were invited to participate in badminton, basketball and football competitions.

Congratulations to all team members! The efforts and contribution of all of them and managers, Mr. Leung Ka Man and Miss Fong Mei Yi, are highly appreciated.
Our Indoor Rowing Team participated in the competition held by Youth College –Vocational Training Council at Kwai Chung campus.
Cheng Kai Yee Samantha of S5B captured the championship in Secondary Girls 500m and Huang Chun Lung Johnloon of S5C came 10th in Secondary Boys 500m.
Congratulations to all team members! The efforts and contribution of all of them and our coach, Ms Ho Wai Chi Cici, are highly appreciated.
The Tournament was hosted by our school and the participating schools included Salesian English School, Shau Kei Wan Government Secondary School, St. Paul’s Co-educational College and Wah Yan College, Hong Kong. A total of ten matches were held from 18th February to 25th March. With the concerted efforts of team members, coaches and the Teacher Supervisor, our team won the Champion and Wah Yan College came second. To round up the tournament and to arouse students’ interest in debating, a demonstration match was held in the school assembly on 27 March, 2017.
