An S6 student sat for the November 2017 Series of HKDSE Other Languages (German) Examination. We are elated to know he has attained A grade with a distinction in speaking, which is a heartening reward for his keen interest in the language and conscientious effort. This delightful piece of news is a good encouragement to our S6 students, who are working hard for the approaching public examination.
Our Junior Choir was invited to make a performance of Christmas carols at the Peak. Such an experience was enjoyable and meaningful.
The choir members prepared a number of well-known and rhythmic Christmas songs such as Frosty the Snowman, Deck the Halls, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, etc., to share the joy of the festival with the tourists at the Peak. In return, the audience appreciated the vocal performance very much and they all gave the choir members a big hand of applause.
The School Symphonic Band took part in 2017 Hong Kong Youth Music Interflows and won the Silver Award.
Carmina Burana and The Forbidden Caverns were the two famous music pieces performed by our band, and they are of high level of difficulty. The band members gave a breath-taking music performance, and won a big round of applause from the adjudicators and the audience.
Congratulations to our school band! The great effort of band members is much appreciated by the school.
Our school sent a team of 4 boys and 2 girls to compete in junior and senior secondary groups. This is the first time they have participated in a competition after learning bouldering for about one and a half yeasr since the bouldering wall in our school was in use in 2016.
2B Leung Yeuk Lam Eliz captured the championship in Girls Senior group while 2A Li Crystal Pui Yin came second. The 3 boys entering the final round could not grab any trophies this time. However, they have done a great job already as the competition among boys groups was very keen.

Our students performed very well at the Xu Beihong International Arts Competition 2017 organised by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups. 3B Lo Ka Kiu won the First Class Award, while 6C Wong Chui Shan won the Second Class Award in the Hong Kong Division, Secondary Section. Let us appreciate their excellent artworks now.
This year, our boys’ team has returned to Division 2 and yet their performance is very good. They won all four matches in the preliminary round on 4 Nov 2017. On 25 Nov 2017, they competed in the final round. After winning in the quarter-final as well as semi-final, they lost to Wah Ying College in the championship match and came second. Congratulations to all team members! We wish to extend our appreciation to all of them, our coach Mr. Chung Pak Kei and team manager Mr. Leung Ka Man for their efforts and contribution.
Our school sent a Boys Team and a Girls Team to compete in the 4x100m Invitation Relay of the annual athletics meet of HK Chinese Women’s Club College. The girls team came third while the boys team came second. Congratulations to all team members!

More than 60 schools and 200 students competed in 21 events of the Hong Kong Schools Rowing Championships 2017. Wong Sze Man of 5D competed in the Girls’ U19 Single Scull event. This is the first time that we have had a boys’ team (2B Chow Long Yin, 3A Lau Yiu Hin, 5D Lam Ngok Ting and Tam Wai Ho) to take part in this annual event. This was also their first ever competition after they started training last summer.
Their commendable efforts and the effective training provided by their coach are highly appreciated.
After more than a month’s preliminary matches, our A Grade Girls Badminton Team came first in their group and entered the final knock-out stage. They won the quarter-final against Shau Kei Wan Government secondary School on 7 Nov with 3 games to 1 and proceeded to semi-finals. They fought bravely against Clementi Secondary School and were able to win 3 games to nil. They met Kiangsu-Chekiang College again in the championship match.
Finally, they finished this year’s competition by capturing the champion! Congratulations to all team members! The efforts of all of them and our coach, Mr. Tong Ka Kin, are highly appreciated.
